Kent Bazemore prepares for the Hawks Openers Thursday Night and checks in with Rick and Randy Mac.
Kent told Randy they can settle it on the fairways since he has a problem with left handed golfers. Kent talked about why he took less money to stay in Atlanta and play for the Hawks when there was more money on the table elsewhere. Bazemore said he has spent a lot more time in the weight room this off season because the NBA is a man’s game. Kent talked about the players he will be having to guard this season at the three and said that was extra motivation for him to get stronger.
Bazemore said the Hawks competitive edge is through the roof this year with the addition of Dwight Howard. Kent told us he considers himself a leader on the team and doesn’t want the team to be mediocre. Bazwemore talked about Dwight Howards demeanor in the locker room and the way he is able to lift up fellow teammates who are a little down. Kent talked about his Jersey being retired by his college and what it meant to him. Bazemore told us what he thinks Coach Budenholzer is best at, players coach and being able to flip the switch to a general and running a team. Kent told us that Draymond Green is one of the best players he has had ever played with and says every team needs a guy like him.
